Healthy living when it's hard Pt. 2

Hello ladies!

I hope you had a great week! A little bit ago I posted on eating healthy and exercise. Healthy living is definitely hard around the holidays especially with all the yummy food but it can be difficult any time of the year. For me, it's always been about emotional eating and lack of motivation. However, this year, I decided to make a change; a life change. I'm still really young but I haven't been healthy since I was in high school. I steadily gained weight for the last six years and now i'm having to work extra hard to get it off. For the last two weeks, I've been eating healthy and keeping track of food and I added in workouts at my local gym. For the past couple days I haven't gone to the gym but I will be headed there tomorrow morning :) It's definitely easier to workout once you're there but it's getting there that's the hard part haha. I'm still really motivated to reach my goals though! I can't wait to get back in the gym tomorrow and each day following! I do not believe that God made us to be unhealthy people. Our culture is all about what feels good and a lot of that includes gluttonous behavior concerning food, drink, laziness, etc. SO, let's make a commitment that we will be healthy in 2018 and every year after! Whether you need to lose weight, move a little more, drink more water, get more shut eye or whatever it may be, let's make a promise to the Lord that we will treat our bodies like temples where He dwells and we will do our best to take care of it because we only have one!

Love and blessings,

Mariah xoxo
